For a Delta assignment we got a challenge from STRP and Green House Group to build an interactive instalation for STRP festival. We had to keep the theme transform in mind. The project revolved around the transformation of indivividuals within a group in society. The user could create his/her own personal Nebula. The Nebula could be launched in the universe, which is visualised by beaming on an huge mesh cloth. Once in the universe, the Nebula will connect to a group of excisting Nebula's. The group will transform the new Nebula, but the new Nebula will also transform the group.
The installation consisted of a workstation, where three users at a time could create their own Nebula by using our touch screen interfaces. The universe was shown on a huge mesh schreen on which we projected with beamers.
In the project I was responsible for the user experience design of the istallation. Which ment concepting and designing user interactions, and the overall concepting, sketiching and creating of the installation as a whole. I also created the soundscape and sound effects for the projects. All off that ment a lot of "failed" idea's, a lot of long hours and also a whole lot of fun.
