How can a cross-media campaign increase the engagement of the current visitors of the Eindhoven Psych Lab festival? To get an answer to this problem, it was important to first find out what the term psychedelic stands for. The word psychedelic is derived from the Greek words psyche(spirit) and deloun(reveal). Psychedelic art and music try to imitate psychedelic effects. Another term that has been researched is cross-media campaign. Different media tell different messages of the same story in a cross-media campaign. (Reynaert & Dijkerman, 2012) Important components when setting up a cross-media strategie are co-creation, storytelling, mediaspecifity, usability and relevance. If these components are correctly used, they can convince the user to participate actively. (Reynaert & Dijkerman, 2012) To find out how the components should be used, the current campaign of Eindhoven Psych Lab has been a point of interest. From the current campaign we can conclude that the current marketing campaign can improve on all cross-media components. Following up the research, a concept has been formed. The concept has been translated to a prototype. The prototype has been tested with the audience during Eindhoven Psych Lab.
